Postdoctoral Training Opportunity
Neuroplasticity and Behavior: The National Institute on Aging (NIA), a major research component of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), is recruiting for several postdoctoral positions in the Neuroplasticity and Behavior Unit (NBU), Laboratory of Neurosciences (LNS) in the Intramural Research Program (IRP) at the NIA. The postdoctoral positions are available to study neural circuits important for learning and memory. Areas of investigation include the role of exercise, dietary supplementation and adult neurogenesis in memory function. The candidates for the multiple positions should have experience in one or more of the following fields of research: electrophysiology, immunohistochemistry, behavior, virology. The candidates must have a doctoral degree in a relevant field with five years or less of postdoctoral experience. Candidates with a strong work ethic and excellent written and presentation skills are encouraged to apply. The NIA IRP offers an outstanding training environment.
