| Molecular Immunology - DNA Recombination and Repair: The National Institute on Aging (NIA) is recruiting for a postdoctoral fellow to work within the Intramural Research Program in the Molecular Immunology Unit (led by Dr. Sebastian Fugmann) of the Laboratory of Cellular and Molecular Biology. | |
| Projects are focused on the mechanisms/regulation of DNA recombination and repair in lymphocytes, in particular V(D)J recombination and immunoglobulin gene conversion. Experimental approaches include cell-line based in vivo systems and biochemical in vitro assays using purified (recombinant) proteins. | |
| Candidates must have a Ph.D. (or M.D.) degree in molecular biology, biochemistry or a related field, and less than 5 years of postdoctoral experience. Salary is commensurate with research experience, according to the NIH intramural pay scale. The laboratory is located in Baltimore, MD, a city with a stimulating scientific and cultural environment. | |
| Interested applicants should e-mail a curriculum vitae, bibliography, cover letter, a brief description of their research interests, and the names of three references to Dr. Sebastian Fugmann at fugmanns@grc.nia.nih.gov. | |
