Chromatin Remodeling and Gene Regulation in Lymphocytes: The National Institute on Aging (NIA) is recruiting for two postdoctoral positions within the Intramural Research Program in the Laboratory of Cellular and Molecular Biology, in the Chromatin Structure and Function Unit, led by Michael Pazin, Ph.D.
Specific areas of interest include the analysis of the role of remodeling enzymes in lymphocytes, regulation of immunoglobulin and cytokine genes, and the function of purified remodeling enzymes in a cell-free system using model transcription units. Experience with chromatin immunoprecipitation or biochemical assays with purified proteins is desired.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. or M.D. degree and less than 5 years of postdoctoral experience in molecular biology/biochemistry. Salary is commensurate with research experience, according to the NIH intramural pay scale. Our laboratories are spacious and well-equipped. Baltimore is a stimulating scientific and cultural environment, hosting the NIA, universities, and biotech.
Interested applicants should send a letter describing research interests and professional goals, as well as a curriculum vitae or resume and three letters of reference to:
