Replies to comments by G. D. Andrianopoulos (see PA, Vol 79:35769) and G. F. Solomon (see PA, Vol 79:35774) on the article by A. B. Zonderman et al (see PA, Vol 79:35777) regarding the relationship between depression and cancer. The original samples did not allow typological analysis of the cancers, and although a combination of depression and other psychosocial factors is possible, alexithymia does not seem a good candidate.
